Waqf Board Chief inaugurates Noor Khana, Sanitary Complex for Females at Dastgir Sahib Shrine in Srinagar
Srinagar : Newly constructed Noor Khana was inaugurated today by the Chairperson of Jammu & Kashmir Waqf Board Dr Syed Darakhshan Andrabi at the famous shrine of Peer Dastgir Sahib at Khanyar in Srinagar. Dr Andrabi also inaugurated Ladies Sanitary Complex also on the occasion. Both the infrastructural projects were completed by the Board within the allocated time frame.
Speaking on the occassion Waqf Chairperson highlighted the significant progress made over the past three years, emphasizing that this work has raised public expectations and established a higher standard for the Board. Dr. Darakhshan stated that the Board prioritizes addressing the sentiments of the community rather than exploiting them, committing to develop necessary infrastructure at all shrines under its management with a focus on transparency and accountability. She announced the completion of the Noor Khana project, which was a long-cherished goal for the Board, expressing satisfaction with this achievement. Additionally, a new sanitary complex for females was inaugurated at the shrine complex, addressing a critical need in the area.
