Ganderbal : Member Parliament and senior BJP leader Gulam Ali Khatana on Wednesday emphasized the resilience of Kashmiri youth against Pakistan’s attempts to mislead them, highlighting their preference for progress, technology, and peace. He said that despite recent incidents in Pahalgam, the youth of Kashmir are responding with maturity and a commitment to education and development, rejecting any negative influences.
Addressing students at the ‘Robotics and Management Technology’ program at J&K Sainik School Manasbal, Khatana urged them to limit screen time to enhance discipline and creativity, while encouraging engagement in robotics, innovation, and physical activities. He praised the students for their creativity and technical skills, linking their growth to the broader initiatives under Prime Minister Narendra Modi aimed at digital empowerment and educational reform in Jammu & Kashmir. Khatana assured support for enhancing academic infrastructure and skill development programs in the region. The event showcased students’ impressive robotic models and technology projects, reflecting the school’s focus on futuristic learning. The school authorities expressed gratitude for Khatana’s ongoing support and requested an Atal Tinkering Lab and an ambulance, to which he promised cooperation. Following the program, Khatana visited the JK DAG Computer Institute in Ganderbal, where he interacted with trainees and faculty. He commended the institute’s role in promoting digital literacy and employability among local youth, stressing the importance of such institutions in preparing a skilled workforce. Khatana encouraged students to take full advantage of the training opportunities available and pledged support for expanding digital and vocational learning facilities in the area.
