Sopore on Track for Major Infrastructure Boost with 7 New Bridges Worth ₹40 Crore

Sopore, Nov 23,: In a significant development set to transform the region’s connectivity landscape, Sopore is all set to get seven new bridges including one dedicated foot bridge with a cumulative project cost exceeding ₹40 crore. The ongoing works are progressing at a rapid pace and are scheduled for completion by March 2026, as confirmed by MLA Sopore, Er. Irshad Rasool Kar.
The bridge infrastructure, which includes prominent projects such as Mazbugh Bridge, Peth Seer Bridge, and Ningli Bala Bridge, will play a pivotal role in reducing traffic congestion, strengthening inter-village access, and enhancing trade and social mobility across Sopore and adjoining areas.
Residents, who have long grappled with persistent traffic challenges and delays, are optimistic that the completion of these bridges will bring much-needed relief. The upgraded connectivity is also expected to stimulate economic activity, improve access to essential services, and contribute to overall regional development.
MLA Irshad Rasool Kar reaffirmed his commitment to accelerating development in Sopore, stating that the ongoing bridge projects reflect the constituency’s priority toward modern infrastructure and public welfare.
