Inter-Zonal District level Residential Trekking Expedition begins at Bhaderwah

Doda : The Department of Youth Services & Sports (YSS) Thursday organised the Inter-Zonal District Level Residential Trekking Expedition at Bhaderwah. The expedition was formally flagged off from the DC Office Complex Doda by ADC, Anil Kumar Thakur.
A total of 50 female students from 10 zones of the district are participating in this trek along with their teachers. Throughout the expedition, a team of trained officials and trekking experts from YSS Doda will guide the students, ensuring safety, technical support and basic mountaineering training.
The initiative is part of YSS Doda’s ongoing efforts to promote adventure sports and foster physical fitness among school students.
The residential trekking programme is scheduled from November 20, 2025, to December 1, 2025, offering students from various zones of District Doda an enriching opportunity to experience high-altitude trekking. The expedition aims to instil teamwork, discipline, confidence and an appreciation for nature among the students in a secure and professionally supervised environment.
The District Youth Services & Sports Office reaffirmed department’s commitment to further strengthening adventure-based learning opportunities for children and youth, making such initiatives an essential component of their holistic development.
