Pulwama: Deputy Commissioner Pulwama, Dr. Basharat Qayoom, Thursday distributed sanction letters to beneficiaries under the PMAY-U (2.0) scheme.
A total of 206 sanction letters were issued under the Beneficiary Led Construction (BLC) component, enabling beneficiaries to begin the construction of their houses in accordance with the scheme guidelines.
Addressing the gathering, Dr. Qayoom emphasised that the district administration is fully committed to providing every possible support to ensure that beneficiaries face no hurdles in availing themselves of government schemes. He urged all beneficiaries to commence construction at the earliest and ensure the timely completion of their houses within the prescribed PMAY-U timeline.
The distribution ceremony was attended by the Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Pulwama, officers of the Housing and Urban Development Department, and beneficiaries of the scheme.
The beneficiaries expressed gratitude to the district administration for the timely sanctioning of houses and the continued support extended under the PMAY-U mission.
