Srinagar|   Secretary Transport, Avny Lavasa Tuesday visited Pulwama and held a comprehensive review meeting on functioning of Transport department in the district.

During the meeting, the Secretary assessed key operational aspects of the department like service delivery at ARTO office, implementation of various transport-related schemes, public facilitation measures, and enforcement activities carried out across the district. She also interacted with officers and staff to take stock of ongoing initiatives and status of citizen-centric services.

Avny Lavasa emphasised on the need for efficient and transparent service delivery, timely disposal of applications, and improved coordination among field enforcement teams to curb violations effectively. She directed the officers to strengthen monitoring mechanisms, ensure strict adherence to rules, and enhance public outreach so that transport-related services are easily accessible to all citizens.

She further instructed the officers to identify bottlenecks affecting service delivery, adopt digital platforms more effectively, and submit regular progress reports for close monitoring at the administrative level.
