SSP Khalil Ahmad Poswal Reviews Crime, Security Preparedness in G’bal; Stresses Implementation of New Criminal Laws

G’bal | Nov,17 :  Senior Superintendent of Police Ganderbal, Shri Khalil Ahmad Poswal on Monday chaired a comprehensive Crime and Security Review Meeting at the Conference Hall, DPO Ganderbal. The meeting was attended by SHOs of Police Stations, In-Charge Police Posts, Investigating Officers, and other senior officials of the district.
During the session, SSP Poswal laid emphasis on mplementation of the New Criminal Laws (NCL). He shared detailed guidelines with field officers and outlined a strategic roadmap to enhance public awareness regarding the advantages and victim-centric approach embedded in the NCL. He directed officers to ensure the new legal provisions are applied efficiently and justly for the benefit of every citizen.
Addressing key law-and-order concerns, SSP Ganderbal instructed officers to intensify efforts in combating the menace of drug trafficking and to adopt proactive mechanisms to curb cybercrime. He also reviewed the progress of pending UAPA and NDPS cases, stressing timely and result-oriented disposal. Officers from various subdivisions also presented a detailed briefing on the current security scenario in their jurisdictions. SSP Poswal discussed necessary measures to counter emerging threats and called for enhanced coordination and synergy with all security agencies operating in the district. SSP Ganderbal directed the officers to maintaining peace and security in the district.
