Minister Dar, Advisor Wani Extend Condolences and Pledge Full Support

SRINAGAR — In a swift governmental response to the recent accidental explosion at Nowgam Police Station, Minister for Agriculture Production, Rural Development & Panchayati Raj, Cooperative and Election Departments, Javid Ahmad Dar, and Advisor to the Chief Minister, Nasir Aslam Wani, today visited the bereaved families of the deceased and the injured to offer condolences and assure immediate state support.

Minister Dar visited Nowgam and Natipora to meet the families of Mohd Shafi and Suhail Ahmad Rather, who tragically lost their lives in the incident. Expressing deep solidarity, the Minister assured the families of all possible assistance from the Government. He also interacted with local residents, obtaining details of the situation and assessing the damage caused to nearby residential houses.

In a separate but coordinated effort, Advisor Wani, acting on the Chief Minister Omar Abdullah’s directions, embarked on a comprehensive tour to meet the affected families. He visited Nowgam, Natipora, Soibug, and Bemina to convey the Government’s profound sorrow over the loss of lives.

“The administration stands shoulder-to-shoulder with the affected families,” Advisor Wani stated, assuring them of every possible support during this difficult time. He was accompanied by MLA Channapora, Mushtaq Ahmad Guroo, and senior officials.

Later in the day, Advisor Wani also visited a local hospital to inquire about the condition of those injured in the explosion. He interacted with the patients and hospital management, emphasizing that directions have been issued to the Health department to ensure the best possible care for the injured.
