Ganderbal : District Administration Ganderbal Saturday joined the nation-wide live streaming of Prime Minister, Narendra Modi’s address, delivered on the eve of the 150th birth anniversary of Bhagwan Birsa Munda, also celebrated as Janjatiya Gaurav Diwas.

The event was held on Saturday marking the culmination of 15 day-long Janjatiya Gaurav Varsh Pakhwada programme.

Farmers from tribal communities, SHGs from tribal communities, students from various schools, general public, PRI representatives, tribal community members, DAJGUA beneficiaries and youth club volunteers had gathered to hear the Prime Minister’s message, which highlighted the inspiring legacy of Birsa Munda and reaffirmed the government’s commitment toward the welfare, dignity, and empowerment of tribal communities across the country.

The programme aimed at spreading awareness about the initiatives under the Abhiyan and ensuring that the transformative benefits reach the grassroots level.

Speaking on the occasion, the Prime Minister emphasized the invaluable contribution of tribal communities in nation-building and underscored the need to further strengthen inclusive development.

The programme concluded with a commitment from district authorities to work for the holistic upliftment of tribal communities, in line with the vision articulated by the Prime Minister.
