Srinagar : Police on Friday said that it has arrested a absconder who was evading his arrest since longin Awantipora.
In a statement issued here on Friday Police said that in Awantipora Police received non-bailable warrants under section 299 CrPC/ 335 Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita from Principal Session Court Pulwama against an absconder Sartaj Ahmad Sheikh S/o Ab Rashid Sheikh R/o Khrew. The absconder was involved in two cases registered at Police Station Pampore.
Police has registered a case in this connection under special team headed by SHO Police Station Pampore. A team under the supervision of SDPO Pampore was constituted and the accused person was arrested. Subsequently, the arrested accused was produced before the Court of Law.
