Jammu : The Lead District Manager (LDM), Jammu Ajay Thappa has informed that a special camp on Disbursement of Unclaimed Deposits/Unclaimed Assets in the Financial Sector will be organized at County Inn, Bahu Plaza, Jammu on 14 November 2025. Representatives from the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), insurance sector, along with representatives from all Banks and SLBC, will participate in the camp.
The LDM stated that the camp is being organised as part of the three-month nationwide awareness-cum-disbursement campaign (October 2025–December 2025) on unclaimed assets in the financial sector, titled “Your Money, Your Right”, launched by the Department of Financial Services (DFS), Ministry of Finance, Government of India in coordination with the Reserve Bank of India and insurance regulatory authorities. The initiative aims to ensure that every rupee saved by citizens can be rightfully claimed by them or by their legal heirs and nominees.
The LDM informed that citizens have already been sensitised through BLBC meetings, as well as awareness programmes conducted by various Banks, FLCs and other outreach activities. He appealed to the public to participate in the camp and visit with valid identity proofs and supporting documents to check the status of their unclaimed deposits and, where applicable, receive the disbursed amount directly.
During the camp, verified claims will be settled and disbursed on the spot to rightful claimants.
