Jammu : Anand Jain, the Additional Director General J&K Armed Police on Wednesday visited headquarters of IRP 22nd battalion in Kishtwar to assess its operations and engage with officers and personnel.
Accompanied by Vinod Kumar, DIG IRP Jammu, and Rajinder Singh, SSP APCR Jammu, Jain received a Guard of Honour upon his arrival and was warmly welcomed by the battalion’s Commanding Officer, Mushim Ahmad, and other officials. During the visit, Jain inspected various facilities, including the motor transport fleet, main office, ration store, and equipment store, evaluating maintenance standards and administrative functions. He later held a darbar with the unit’s officers and personnel, addressing their grievances and assuring prompt resolution. Jain commended the battalion for their dedication and discipline, particularly during recent flood rescue and relief operations. In his address, Jain highlighted the importance of professionalism, physical fitness, and teamwork, urging personnel to uphold values of integrity and service. He also inaugurated a new battalion canteen to enhance the daily convenience of the staff and participated in a plantation drive, underscoring the significance of environmental conserv
