Srinagar: Anti-Narcotics Task Force (ANTF) Kashmir on Monday in presence of Revenue Department officials, Lambardar& Chowkidar concerned on Monday attached double-storey under construction residential house valued at more than ₹44 lakhs, belonging to drug peddler namely Rouf Ahmad Bhat S/o Abdul Majeed Bhat R/o Churumujru Beerwah Budgam. The attachment was carried out under Section 68-F of the NDPS Act, 1985.
According to a police statement issued here on Monday the residential house has been identified as an illegally acquired asset during a financial investigation by the Police Station Anti-Narcotics Task Force (ANTF) Kashmir, conducted under Section 68E of the NDPS Act 1985, in connection with case FIR No. 02/2024, which pertains to Section 8/15 of the NDPS Act. The investigation uncovered that the property was obtained through proceeds from illicit trafficking of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances. The individual involved, a drug peddler wo is currently in judicial custody at Central Jail Srinagar. In its statement police said that this operation is parts ANTF Kashmir’s drive to combat narcotics trafficking , reiterating therein its commitment to enforcing strict legal measures under the NDPS Act against offenders and their assets.
