Srinagar: Leader of Opposition and senior BJP leader Sunil Kumar Sharma on Saturday said that the National Conference (NC) will face a humiliating defeat in the upcoming Budgam by-election.
Addressing an election rally in Budgam, Sharma expressed confidence in the BJP’s impending victory over the National Conference (NC), predicting a significant defeat for the opposition. He emphasized that the upcoming election on November 14 would mark a pivotal moment in Budgam’s political landscape, highlighting the contrast between the NC’s past promises and the BJP’s commitment to real development. Sharma asserted that the people of Jammu and Kashmir have turned away from the NC’s long-standing dynastic politics and are now supporting Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision for a prosperous region. He delivered a strong message against the opposition, claiming that no one can prevent the BJP’s success in Kashmir, as the populace has decided to move beyond fear and deception. He praised the BJP candidate, Aga Syed Mohsin, as a dynamic leader with a strong connection to the community and a dedication to public service. Sharma argued that Budgam deserves a youthful and energetic representative in the Assembly to promote change and inclusive growth. Concluding his address, Sharma declared an end to corruption, nepotism, and emotional manipulation, calling for a new era of empowerment, accountability, and progress under the BJP’s leadership, which resonated with the audience’s enthusiastic support.
