Srinagar : To commemorate the 150th anniversary of India’s National Song “Vande Mataram,” the Jammu and Kashmir Police on Friday held a significant event at the Police Control Room in Kashmir.
The celebration event was inaugurated by Director General J&K Police Nalin Prabhat who led the festivities with enthusiasm and a strong sense of patriotism. The program featured a collective singing of “Vande Mataram,” with participation from the DGP, senior officers, and numerous police personnel. This powerful performance resonated throughout the PCR premises, symbolizing unity, dedication, and devotion to the motherland—values that the song has inspired across generations. The event was attended by several senior officials from the J&K Police, including the Special DGP (Coordination) S.J.M. Gillani, IGP Kashmir, and other high-ranking officers. The ceremony concluded with a reaffirmation from participants of their commitment to serve the nation with integrity and dedication. This event highlighted a renewed sense of national pride and solidarity, emphasizing the enduring significance of “Vande Mataram” as a symbol of India’s unity and patriotic spirit.
