Multiple events mark the commencement of Phase-I year-long Campaign
Anantnag : In sync with the national level calendar, Anantnag commemorated the 150 years of National Song ‘Vande Mataram’ Friday with multiple functions held across the district as part of the Phase-I year-long Campaign.
The main function was held at Town Hall Anantnag where Deputy Commissioner, SF Hamid, ADC, CEO PDA, GM DIC, ACR, ACD, Exens of various engineering wings, CEO, ARTO, DySPHq. and other district and sectoral officers besides officials, civil society members and general public were present.
The participants listened to the live streaming of the Hon’ble Prime Minister’s Speech highlighting the historical importance and current relevance of the National Song, Vande Mataram.
Addressing the gathering, the DC elaborated the significance of the National Song and called upon the participants to work with commitment and dedication in the interest of citizens, society and nation at large. He said that the Campaign will be implemented in four phases in tune with the national celebration and multiple activities will be conducted across the district in Phase-I scheduled from Nov 07 to 14 this year.
Similar events were held in Subdivisions, Tehsils, Colleges, Blocks, ULBs and other public institutions of the district where senior officers, officials, students and civil society members participated with patriotic spirit and enthusiasm.
