“Strengthen Security Grid, enhance overall coordination, Show field readiness”
Srinagar : Director General Police Nalin Prabhat on Thursday reviewed security at a high level meeting to evaluate the current security situation in the Kashmir Valley and develop strategies for enhancing the security and intelligence framework.
During the meeting, participating officers provided updates on the security landscape and operational readiness within their jurisdictions. DGP Prabhat focused on the need to bolster the city’s security infrastructure through advanced surveillance techniques, improved inter-agency collaboration, and proactive engagement in the field. He instructed officers to implement dynamic and surprise checkpoints at key locations to strengthen area control and deterrence. Additionally, he emphasized the importance of maintaining effective communication between neighboring districts to facilitate inter-district security coordination and real-time information sharing. The DGP also called for the enhancement of Quick Reaction Teams (QRTs) by improving their mobility, training, and equipment. He highlighted the necessity for modernizing the communication network to ensure secure and uninterrupted connectivity at all operational levels. In the closing remarks of his address at the meetiing DGP Prabhat reiterated commitment to professionalism, vigilance, and community-oriented policing while ensuring the highest standards of operational readiness. The meeting included participation from various senior officials, including the Special DG Coordination J&K, IGP Kashmir Zone, and district Superintendents of Police from the Kashmir Zone.
