Srinagar/Nov,7: Expressing grave concern over the continued traffic gridlock in the Pattan market area, Ahmad Ayaz, noted social activist and national TV debater, has urged the authorities to take immediate and effective measures to address the issue.
Every evening, the Pattan market stretch turns into a long trail of stranded vehicles and frustrated commuters. Besides other travellers, office-goers and women often reach home late — caught in never-ending traffic jams that test both patience and time.
“This chronic congestion needs more than routine handling — it demands visible action,” said Ahmad Ayaz, emphasizing that until a permanent alternative is completed, there must be stronger police presence, better traffic regulation, and urgent short-term decongestion efforts.
“Public inconvenience cannot become a daily norm — it calls for prompt action, accountability, and a humane approach to traffic management”,he added.
