Ganderbal : International Affairs Division (IDA), Central University of Kashmir (CUKashmir) in collaboration with the Lincoln University College, Malaysia, organised an international symposium on “Perspectives of Research, Publications, and Innovations in Global Context,” at Tulmulla campus here Wednesday.
The symposium featured prominent figures from academia, including CUKashmir Vice-Chancellor Prof. A. Ravinder Nath, keynote speaker Prof. V. Venkata Ramana, and other distinguished faculty members. Prof. Sandhya Tiwari opened the event by emphasizing the need for introspection in research, advocating for a focus on ethical responsibility and social relevance rather than merely chasing publications. She highlighted CUKashmir’s expanding global presence, with faculty engaging in research and teaching across various countries. Prof. Abid Hamid Dar discussed India’s potential as a hub for innovation, attributing its economic strength to its diverse population and geography. He noted that equitable growth and improved connectivity are driving new entrepreneurial ventures.
