DDC Chairperson Kupwara reviews progress of works under Distt Capex Budget 2025-26

Kupwara : District Development Council (DDC) Chairperson Kupwara, Irfan Sultan Panditpori Tuesday chaired the council meeting at Environment Hall Handwara to review the progress of various developmental projects under District CAPEX Budget 2025-26.

Deputy Commissioner Kupwara, Shrikant Suse, Vice-Chairperson District Development Council, Haji Farooq Ahmad Mir, CEO DDC, Mufti Fareed-u-din; ADC Handwara, Javaid Naseem Masoodi; Members of District Development Council, besides, District and Sectoral Officers attended the meeting.

The meeting was informed about the ongoing and completed projects under District CAPEX Budget 2025-26 including sectors like Minor Irrigation, R&B, Elementary Education, Secondary Education, Youth Services &Sports, Health, Jal Shakti, NFB, United Grants, ADF (DDC/BDC/PRI grants) and Samridh Seema Yojna.

The Chairperson took a detailed review of the physical and financial status of works taken up under the District Capex schemes and other sectors. Council members also raised various issues and demands pertaining to their respective constituencies.

After reviewing the sector wise progress of the works, the Chairperson impressed upon district level Officers of all departments to speed up the pace of ongoing development projects to ensure timely completion within the current financial year.

He enjoined upon the officers to work with greater coordination and zeal to finish the targets within the timeframe.

On the occasion, the Vice Chairperson, District Development Council also asked the officers to put in their best efforts for timely completion of works for optimum utilization of funds under different schemes.

Deputy Commissioner Kupwara, while speaking on the occasion, reiterated the importance of close inter-departmental coordination and directed officers to ensure that all ongoing works are completed within the stipulated timeframe to meet developmental goals of the district.
