Srinagar : Police on Tuesday said that it has seized 8 vehicles involved in illegal extraction and transportation of minerals from different areas falling under the jurisdiction of Polic Station Ganderbal, Gund &Police Post Nagbal.
According to a police statement issued here on Tuesday law enforcers seized vehicles engaged in the illegal transportation of minerals, acting in collaboration with the Geology and Mining Department. Police in its statement reiterated its commitment to enforce law against those engaged in illegal mining activities, appealing therein people to avoid involvement in illegal mining and transportation while warning strict legal against those who violate law.
