Jammu : The Central Bureau of Communication (CBC) organized a workshop on Public Information Disclosure and Protection of Informers Resolution (PIDPI) in Jammu as part of the Vigilance Awareness Week.
The event aimed to enhance awareness among employees regarding ethics and transparency in governance. Ghulam Abbas, Director of the CBC Regional Office, emphasized the importance of integrity and the need to combat corruption at all levels. Deputy Director Ayushi Puri welcomed participants and outlined the workshop’s objectives, highlighting the significance of Vigilance Awareness Week. Kamal Sangra, Deputy Superintendent of Police from the Anti Corruption Bureau, presented on the PIDPI, focusing on its role in protecting whistleblowers and addressing corruption. He underscored the necessity of a framework like PIDPI-2014, especially in light of crimes against whistleblowers in India. The theme for this year, “Vigilance: Our Shared Responsibility,” was noted as a call for collective action against corruption.
