Srinagar : Police on Monday said that it has recorded another success in Pulwama district by seizing a sizable quantity of contraband at OkhooKakapora and arrested one accused person involved in the commission of crime.
According to a Police statement issued here on Monday a police team from Police Station Kakpora conducted routine naka checking at Okhoo Kakpora, where they intercepted a TATA 207 vehicle driven by Javaid Ahmad Dar, also known as Jana Dar. During a thorough inspection, the police discovered 5.565 kilograms of suspected poppy straw in the vehicle. Following this incident, a case was registered under FIR No. 69/2025, citing Sections 8/15 of the NDPS Act, and an investigation has commenced to explore further connections related to the case. Police in its statement reiterated its commitment to combat drug-related issues in society and people to assist by providing any information that could help in addressing drug trafficking and other illegal activities.
