Srinagar : Paras Health, Srinagar, successfully concluded a month-long Breast Cancer Awareness campaign with a panel discussion on October 31, 2025, featuring leading oncologists and healthcare professionals.
The campaign focused on the importance of early detection, regular screening, and public education, screening over 1,000 women in the Kashmir Valley and organizing more than 15 health talks and camps to promote preventive health practices. Breast cancer remains a significant health issue in India, with one woman dying for every two newly diagnosed cases. In response, Paras Health launched the “For Women, By Women” Breast Cancer Care Team, ensuring that women patients receive care exclusively from female healthcare professionals in a supportive environment. This team comprises specialists in various fields, providing comprehensive care that addresses medical, emotional, and rehabilitative needs. Throughout October, the hospital was illuminated in pink to support breast cancer warriors and survivors, offering discounted mammograms and free breast screening camps in collaboration with women’s NGOs. These initiatives aimed to enhance access to early detection and bridge the awareness-to-action gap. Dr. Shabnam B
