Srinagar : Police on Monday said that it has achieved another success in Ganderbal by arresting one more absconder who had been evading arrest for 19 years.
According to a police statement issued here on Monday one Mohammad Iqbal Zargar, son of Ghulam Mohammad Zargar, residing in Gulab Bagh Zakura, Srinagar, has been arrested in connection with Case FIR No. 33/2006 under Section 420 of the RPC at Police Station Kangan. The accused was arrested by a police team from Police Station Kangan based on specific inputs. Following the completion of legal procedures, Zargar was presented before the Court of JMIC Kangan, which ordered his detention in Subsidiary Jail Dignibal. Police in its statement reiterated its commitment to pursue all offenders and absconders, highlighting their dedication to justice and public safety.
