PM fears trump: Rahul

Begusarai: Launching a fierce attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi today alleged that the PM is “afraid of former US President Donald Trump.”
Addressing a massive Bihasr Assembly election rally here, Gandhi accused Modi of lacking courage despite his image of strength. “Modi boasts of having a 56-inch chest, yet he is fearful. Mahatma Gandhi’s chest wasn’t large, but he never feared anyone. (Former Prime Minister) Indira Gandhi had far more courage than Modi,” he said.
Rahul alleged that Donald Trump had publicly claimed to have pressurised Modi to halt “Operation Sindoor” and even boasted about making him surrender.
“Trump said he made Modi stop a military operation and has insulted our Army and Air Force several times. But Modi remains silent. If Trump is lying, Gandhi said,” challenging Modi to come to Bihar and tell the people that Trump’s statements are false.
The Congress leader claimed that Modi’s actions are dictated by corporate interests. “Modi is not only afraid of Trump but is also under the control of Adani and Ambani. Before elections, he does whatever people want, be it performing yoga or dancing,” he said, and alleged once the polls are over, Modi works only for two particular industrialists.
Aiming at the education system in Bihar, Gandhi lamented the decline of institutions that once symbolised global excellence. “There was a time when Nalanda University was a world-renowned centre of learning, attracting students from Japan, Korea and England. Today, Bihar’s universities are infamous for paper leaks and corruption. Only those with political connections get access to exam papers, while honest students suffer,” he said.
Gandhi also accused the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government of diverting public attention from real issues through social media distractions.
“The BJP has trapped the youth in Instagram and Facebook reels. You are busy scrolling while Adani and Ambani take your wealth. Instagram reels are a way to keep you away from real issues like unemployment, education, and farmers’ struggles,” he asserted.
He warned that the day India’s youth understand the nexus between corporate power and government, “Modi and Adani’s shop will close forever.”
Taking a dig at Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, Gandhi said, “He claims Bihar has changed in the last 20 years, but where are the better hospitals and schools? People go to hospitals not to live, but to die. Bihar’s government today is not in Nitish’s hands but in the control of Modi and Amit Shah.”
Outlining the Mahagathbandhan’s vision for Bihar, Rahul Gandhi promised to make the state an international centre for quality education. “If our alliance forms the government, we will revive Nalanda University and make Bihar a global hub of learning once again. No more ‘Made in China’ now it will be Made in Bihar,” he concluded.
