Srinagar : Tanvir Sadiq, the Chief Spokesperson of the Jammu & Kashmir National Conference and MLA of Zadibal, visited Gurpora, Rainawari to offer condolences to the family of 13-year-old Madiha Farooq, who tragically died in a school van accident on September 17.
During his visit, Sadiq presented a cheque of ₹2 lakh as ex-gratia relief to the grieving family, a gesture facilitated by Chief Minister Omar Abdullah. Sadiq expressed profound sorrow over the loss of the young girl, describing it as an irreparable tragedy, and offered prayers for her soul. He assured the family of his support during this challenging time. Additionally, he called on authorities to enforce stricter safety measures and regulations for school transport to prevent similar incidents in the future. Sadiq was accompanied by local party functionaries and workers during this visit.
