Srinagar: Police on Saturday said that it has seized two vehicles involved in illegal extraction and transportation of minerals in Pulwama.
According to a police statement issued here on Saturday a dumper and a JCB machine found extracting and transporting minerals unlawfully were seized at Newa area of the Pulwama district, adding therein that a case under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Pulwama besides initiating further investigation.
In its statement police reiterated its commitment to protect the district’s natural resources and maintain strict action against violators besides appealing people to cooperate with it by reporting any incidents of illegal mining.
