Budgam : As part of the ongoing Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) initiative, an awareness programme on the importance of vote and ethical voting was Thursday organised at the Migrant Colony Sheikhpora, Budgam.
The event aimed to educate and motivate voters, particularly the migrant community, about the significance of active electoral participation and responsible voting.
A detailed discussion was also held on the Postal Ballot facility available for migrant voters to ensure their smooth and convenient participation in the electoral process.
The speakers highlighted the importance of informed, ethical, and fearless voting and urged participants to exercise their franchise responsibly.
They also briefed the attendees about the ongoing SVEEP initiatives being carried out by the District Election Office Budgam to enhance voter awareness and turnout across the district.
The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation of residents from the migrant colony, including youth and women. Informative pamphlets and voter awareness material were distributed among participants.
The event concluded with a collective pledge by all attendees to spread the message of ethical voting and to contribute to strengthening democracy through active participation in the upcoming elections.
