Awantipora : The Department of Journalism and Mass Communication (DJMC) at the Islamic University of Science and Technology (IUST) collaborated with Film Southasia (FSA) to host the Travelling FSA Film Festival 2025 in Kashmir. This festival showcased a selection of internationally acclaimed films from South Asia, emphasizing the significance of storytelling through documentary and independent cinema. A total of nineteen films were screened, including fifteen student entries and four notable films from the FSA collection, accompanied by interactive discussions that fostered dialogue between filmmakers and audiences. Prof. A. H. Moon, Dean of Academic Affairs at IUST, highlighted the festival as a vital initiative for promoting intercultural communication through film, stating that it nurtures critical thinkers and creative storytellers.
