Ganderbal: Central University of Kashmir (CUK) kickstarted the Vigilance Awareness Week–2025 under the theme “Vigilance: Our Shared Responsibility” by organising a programme at Tulmulla here Monday.
The upcoming programs to be organized by the Dean Students Welfare (DSW) in collaboration with the Office of the Chief Vigilance Officer and the University’s Legal Cell aim to address corruption and promote integrity within the university community. Khalil Ahmad Poswal, SSP Ganderbal, emphasized the various forms of corruption in society and the essential role of vigilance institutions in combating these issues. He advocated for research-driven policymaking and highlighted the effectiveness of technology and digital governance, such as online grievance redressal systems, in enhancing transparency and service delivery. Poswal also called for strong institutional frameworks like Lokpal and Lokayuktas, alongside transparency-promoting laws like the Right to Information (RTI) Act, while urging the youth to champion integrity and ethical behavior.
