DDC Kupwara reviews progress of works under District Capex Budget

Kupwara : District Development Commissioner (DDC) Kupwara, Shrikant SuseMonday convened a meetings of concerned officers to review the progress of developmental works under District CAPEX Budget 2025-26.

At the outset, the CPO Kupwara, presented a detailed overview of the ongoing and completed projects under District CAPEX Budget 2025-26 pertaining to various departments including R&B, Elementary Education, Secondary Education, Youth Services & Sports, Health, PHE, Minor Irrigation, United Grants, ADF and Samridh SeemaYojna.

The meeting was informed that total approved outlay for the financial year 2025-26 involves Rs10907.83 lakh, and funds released as on date is Rs 6882.03 lakh.

On the occasion, the DDC took a detailed review of the physical and financial status of works taken up under the District Capex budget. He stressed upon the officers gear up the pace of work and ensure timely completion of all ongoing projects keeping in view the ensuing winter season.

He emphasized the need for regular field monitoring, better inter-departmental coordination, and prompt resolution of bottlenecks hampering project progress.

The DDC reiterated the administration’s commitment to equitable and sustainable development across all blocks of Kupwara district and urged officers to utilize funds judiciously before the end of the financial year.

He further instructed the concerned departments to upload progress reports on the BEAMS and PFMS portals to ensure real-time monitoring and transparency.

The DDC directing all departments to expedite works under Area Development Plans (ADP), PRI grants, and other schemes aligned with the District Capex Budget to ensure tangible results on the ground.

CPO Kupwara, ACD, Executive Engineers of R&B, Jal Shakti and I&FC, besides, other district and sectoral officers attended the meeting.
