Srinagar : Police on Monday said that it has arrested three absconders in Kulgam & Sopore who were evading their arrest for years.
absconders According to a police statement issued here on Monday the accused has been arrested and identified as identified as Mohd Aslam Hajam. The individual was wanted in connection with case FIR No. 138/2004, which involves violations of sections 15 and 18 of the NDPS Act at Police Station Qazigund. In a separate operation, the police in Sopore apprehended two absconders who had been evading arrest for several years. One of the absconders, Mohammad Yousuf Sheikh, was wanted for case FIR No. 327/2006, facing serious charges under sections 366, 376, and 109 of the RPC, and had been on the run since 2018. The second absconder, Nissar Ahmad Mir, was wanted in case FIR No. 12/2010 for similar charges under sections 363, 376, and 109 of the RPC, having evaded capture since 2015. Following the completion of legal formalities, both individuals will be presented before the appropriate courts for further proceedings.
