Srinagar: Police on Friday conducted extensive search operations at multiple locations across the district in Ganderbal after obtaining due permission from the Court.
The searches aimed to dismantle drug peddling networks and deter individuals involved in narcotics distribution. Under the supervision of senior officers, Ganderbal Police meticulously searched the premises of suspected individuals, leading to the recovery and seizure of significant incriminating materials for further investigation. This initiative is part of a broader campaign by the police to eradicate drug-related issues in the district and protect the youth from the dangers of substance abuse. In addition to the search operations, the police employed loudspeakers and public announcement systems to raise awareness in local communities. They urged citizens, particularly youth and parents, to cooperate with law enforcement and to avoid involvement with drugs, emphasizing the importance of community engagement in addressing this social challenge. Police in a statement issued in this connection on Friday reiterated its resolve to establish a drug free society and ensure a safe, healthy environment for the youth.
