Srinagar:As a part of the Police Commemoration Day observance and the ongoing weeklong sports activities, Police in Shopian on Friday organised a Kho-Kho tournament at Government Girls Higher Secondary School Shopian to pay rich tribute to the valiant police personnel who laid down their lives in the line of duty.
The event was inaugurated by DySPHqrs Shopian Imtiyaz Ahmad, accompanied by DySP DAR Shopian. The event served as a heartfelt homage to the sacrifices of the martyrs while fostering a spirit of sportsmanship, discipline and unity among the youth.
On the occasion officers highlighted that the tournament not only reflects the strength and resilience of the police force but also aims to strengthen police public relations through community-oriented initiatives.
The participating teams, including both winners and runners-up, were felicitated for their enthusiasm, teamwork and exemplary performance.
