DC Udhampur reviews progress of developmental works taken up under District Capex Budget, SASCI, RDD sector

Udhampur: Deputy Commissioner Udhampur Saloni Rai Friday chaired a meeting here in the Conference Hall of DC Office Complex to review the physical and financial progress achieved under the District Capex Budget 2025–26, including the Special Assistance to States for Capital Investment and RDD in the district.
The meeting was attended by Additional District Development Commissioner Jugal Kishore; Chief Planning Officer Uttam Singh; Assistant Commissioner Development Om Parkash and officers from across the line departments.
Reviewing the progress under the District Capex budget, SASCI and RDD, the DC directed the concerned departments to expedite the pace of work and ensure completion of all projects as per the given timeline.
The DC reviewed the status of ongoing work on the Government Medical College campus taken up at a project cost of Rs. 3.25 crore. She directed the XEN PWD to seek necessary approval for the construction of a multi-storey parking facility near Gole Market in the town.
She further instructed the concerned officers to undertake drilling of borewells near the Old Age Home and Devika along with other allied works for augmentation of the water supply system.
The DC also reviewed the progress of procurement of auxiliary components for the installation of smart meters and the construction of a new 3.15 MVA, 33/11 KV receiving station at Damnote in the Pancheri area and Nallah Godian in Block Ghordi.
The DC further reviewed the progress achieved under DDC/BDC/PRI Grants, ADP, Untied grants and ABDP as well as labour budget performance under MGNREGA.
The Department-wise performance of sectors such as Irrigation, PHE, PWD, RDD, Health, Education and JPDCL was also assessed.
Emphasizing timely execution and judicious fund utilization, the DC instructed all departments to achieve 100% allotment of works at the earliest and accelerate the utilization of released funds. She also directed the Block Development Officers to prioritize the completion of pending projects in mission mode and to initiate billing of completed works without delay.
