Says “Majority of members concerned over PSA detention of lawmakers”

Srinagar: Stating that the National Conference (NC) will bag all the four seats in the Rajya Sabha elections, Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Thursday said that he didn’t think that imposing Public Safety Act (PSA) against MLA Doda was necessary.
“Majority of the members in the Assembly are concerned over the detention of MLA Doda under PSA. I believe that he has not done anything that would make it necessary to impose the PSA on him,” Omar said while replying to a query on the issue of MLA Doda surfacing in the Assembly on the first day of nine-day autumn session.
He said that the assembly commenced with obituary references today in which the people who were earlier part of the House and also had connections with J&K like Satya Pal Malik.
“The real proceedings of the House will start from Monday,” he said
