Srinagar| Oct, 23: Speaker Jammu and Kashmir Assembly, Abdul Rahim Rather, on Thursday expressed sharp criticism of the Kupwara district administration after the name of former Langate MLA Muhammad Sultan Panditpori was omitted from the House’s obituary references.
Speaker said “This is an irresponsible attitude,” highlighting that the district administration failed to inform the Assembly Secretariat about Panditpori’s demise. He stressed that timely notification from local authorities is crucial for official proceedings. The omission drew the attention of several legislators, who supported the Speaker’s concerns over the lapse by the Kupwara administration.
