Srinagar : Police on Wednesday said that it has traced and arrested two absconders who were evading arrest for last five years.
According to a police statement issued here on Wednesday the accused have been identified as Mohd Saleem Sheikh S/o Mohmad Ramzan Sheikh and Rehana Begum W/o Mohd Saleem Sheikh, both residents of Panzipora Sopore, involved in Case FIR No. 47/2021 U/S 420, 34, 201/IPC.
The said accused were apprehended by Police during a special operation and were produced Wednesday before the Court Addl. Special Mobile Magistrate Ganderbal for further legal proceedings.
In its statement police reiterated its commitment to bring all absconders and offenders of law to justice and maintain peace, order, and accountability in the district.
