Prez Murmu Felicitates DC Bandipora for Exemplary Performance

Bandipora : In a historic moment and a matter of immense pride for Jammu and Kashmir, District Bandipora has bagged the Best Performer Award in the Country under the prestigious Adi Karmayogi Abhiyaan (AKY), recognizing the district’s outstanding implementation and on-ground impact of the initiative.
For this remarkable feat, Deputy Commissioner Bandipora, Indu Kanwal Chib, was felicitated by the President of India, Droupadi Murmu, during a national-level ceremony held Friday.
The honour marks a significant milestone for the district, reflecting its commitment to innovation, transparency, and citizen-centric administration.
The Adi Karmayogi Abhiyaan, a flagship initiative of the Government of India aimed at capacity building, skill enhancement, and improving governance efficiency, was implemented in Bandipora with remarkable zeal and vision. The district administration adopted a proactive approach by conducting extensive training sessions, awareness programmes, and introducing digital governance practices, all of which contributed to its recognition as the Best Performing District in India.
The DC expressed gratitude on receiving the national honour and dedicated the achievement to the collective efforts of her team and the people of Bandipora. She said that the recognition belongs to the entire Bandipora team who worked tirelessly to make the Adi Karmayogi Abhiyaan a success.
The DC acknowledged the relentless dedication and coordination of the District Nodal Officer (DNO) Yar Ali, Khan, Chief Planning Officer, M. Maqbool Lone; District and Block Mission Teams (DMTs and BMTs), Aadi Saathis, Aadi Sahyogis, and all 17 participating Ministries.
This national recognition has brought unprecedented pride and visibility to Bandipora and the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, placing it firmly on the national map for excellence in governance and public administration.
