Srinagar | Oct, 17: The University of Kashmir (KU) successfully concluded its three-day bootcamp on “AI and Robotics: Designing Futures, Building Pathways” at the Institute of Technology ( IoT) Zakura Campus.
The camp organized by the Centre for Design Your Own Degree (CDYD) at Zakura Campus focused on equipping students with essential skills in artificial intelligence and robotics. It included practical sessions on AI prototyping, mini projects, and team-based problem-solving, fostering innovation, teamwork, and critical thinking among participants. During the valedictory session, Vice-Chancellor Prof. Nilofer Khan emphasized the importance of such bootcamps in preparing students for the evolving technological landscape, highlighting the university’s commitment to nurturing creativity and confidence in young minds. Registrar Prof. Naseer Iqbal noted that these programs promote innovation and multidisciplinary collaboration, which are crucial for regional technological advancement. Director Prof. Tariq Banday remarked that the bootcamp aligns with the university’s focus on emerging technologies and its mission to create an innovation-driven ecosystem. Prof. Syeda Afshana, the workshop coordinator, pointed out that the initiative aimed to introduce students to AI and robotics fundamentals through experiential learning and collaborative problem-solving. Participants from various institutions, including Zakura Campus KU, Islamic University of Science and Technology, Amar Singh College, and Islamia College of Science and Commerce Srinagar, shared their positive experiences and key takeaways during the session.
