On 11th October 2025, NIT Srinagar released its ambitious “Vision Document – SANGAM 2030”, articulating a roadmap titled “5 by 5” that aims to transform the Institute into a globally connected, purpose-driven, and emotionally engaged community. Anchored in the ethos of “Strive for Excellence, Serve the Nation,” this vision envisions alumni as lifelong partners—champions of innovation, mentorship, and societal impact—who will actively shape the Institute’s journey toward academic distinction, regional development, and global recognition. Established in 1960 as the Regional Engineering College (REC) Srinagar and elevated to National Institute of Technology status in 2003, NIT Srinagar has stood as a bastion of technical excellence, intellectual rigor, and national service for over six decades. Nestled amidst the serene landscapes of the Kashmir Valley, the Institute has not only nurtured generations of engineers, scientists, and innovators but has also acted as a catalyst for regional transformation through education, technology, and human capital development.
