Srinagar | : Police in Awantiporaon Saturday intensified efforts to combat illegal mining activities in the Police district Awantipora and seized 6 tractors involved in illegal transportation of minerals.
According to a statement issued from Zonal Police Headquarters Srinagar Police a Police party led by SHO Police Station Tral under the supervision of SDPO Tral Rajesh Kumar seized six tractors from Nowdal area of Police Station Tral, involved in illegal transportation of minerals.
Police registered a case under FIR NO. 125/2025 under relevant sections of law in Police Station Tral later besides initiating further investigations.
Police in its statement appealed people to extend their cooperation by sharing any information regarding such unlawful activities in their areas and reiterated its resolve to take strict legal action against those indulging in illegal mining.
