Awantipora |: The Centre for Vocational Studies at the Islamic University of Science and Technology (IUST) collaborated with the Government Dental College (GDC) Srinagar to host a Free Dental Check-up Camp themed “Oral Health – The Gateway to Overall Healthcare.”
The initiative highlighted the crucial connection between oral hygiene and overall health. A team of approximately 20 dental professionals offered consultations, on-site tooth fillings, scaling, and free medications, benefiting over 200 students, faculty, and staff. The event was inaugurated by Prof. A.H. Moon, Dean of Academic Affairs, and coordinated by Dr. Shahid Mudasir Baba and Dr. Aasim Farooq Shah. Prof. Moon acknowledged the dental team’s efforts and discussed potential future collaborations and community health partnerships between IUST and GDC Srinagar.
