Srinagar | : Police in Baramulla on Friday arrested a drug peddler. According to a statement issued from Zonal Police Hedquarters Srinagar the drug peddlers identified as Rafiq Ahmad Mir, a resident of Kampora Tangmarg was arrested at Drung Crossing where he was intercepted for checking. During the search, authorities recovered 20 grams of a charas-like substance from his possession. Following the arrest, Mir was taken to the police station where he remains in custody. A case has been registered under FIR No. 73/2025 at Police Station Tangmarg, and an investigation is underway. Police in its statement reiterated its commitment to eradicate drug trafficking in the district and appealed pepple to report any information regarding drug peddling or other anti-social activities in their areas.
