Doda | : A joint team comprising officials from the Legal Metrology Department, State Tax Department and Industry Department conducted market inspections at Dessa Road, Akramabad and Bharat Road Doda Thursday to check adherence to GST Regime 2.0 by the traders so that the benefits of the revised rates (effective from Sept 22, 2025) reach the ultimate consumers.
During the inspection 4 notices were issued by the State Tax Department for non-issuance of bills. A penalty of Rs. 10,000 was imposed by the Legal Metrology Department for violation of LMD provisions.
Traders were also sensitized and made aware about the importance of passing on the benefits of revised GST rates to consumers.
The drive was aimed at ensuring transparency in trade practices and safeguarding consumer interests in the district.
