Says “Modiji’s vision a guiding path for devin J&K Waqf Board”
Srinagar | : Dr. Syed Darakhshan Andrabi, Chairperson Jammu & Kashmir Waqf Board on Thursday inaugurated two new office complexes in Jammu, located at Eidgah and Thandi Khuie in Samba.
The buildings were completed within the projected timeline, reflecting the Board’s commitment to development despite political challenges. Dr. Andrabi emphasized that the Waqf Board has been guided by Prime Minister Modi’s vision of development, which has significantly influenced its operations since the establishment of a new Board under a Central Act in 2022. She highlighted the transformative journey of the Waqf Board over the past forty months, marking it as a period of significant achievements. Dr. Andrabi criticized the previous misuse of Waqf resources for personal gain by ruling families, asserting that the Board has now become an accountable public organization focused on creating assets, assisting the needy, and enhancing facilities for the community. The Waqf Board aims to establish itself as the leading Waqf body in India, working with a clear vision for the future. Accompanying her during the inaugurations were key officials from the Board and local community leaders.
