Srinagar | : Police on Wednesday attached property measuring 3 kanals and 19 marlas located at Dasan, Beerwah, after obtaining prior approval from the competent authority.
According to statement issued from Zonal Police Headquarters Srinagar a property owned by Fayaz Ahmad, also known as Gadda, has been linked to terrorist activities in Kashmir. Ahmad, who has fled to Pakistan, was found to be using this property to promote terrorism. Investigations revealed that he was attempting to sell the land, intending to use the proceeds to finance further terrorist operations. In response to these findings, authorities obtained a sanction under Section 25 of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA) related to FIR No. 56/2019 from Police Station Chadoora, which led to the formal attachment of the property. The police in its statement also said that Ahmad’s handler, currently in Pakistan, remains actively involved in anti-national activities from abroad.
