Srinagar |: Police on Wednesday said that it has seized 3 vehicles used in illegal excavation and transportation of minerals in Wuyun Khrew.
According to statement issued from Zonal Police headquarters Srinagar a police team from Police Station Khrew, led by the Station House Officer (SHO), seized three vehicles with registration numbers JK19-9468, JK13B-9154, and JK15B-0013. This action resulted in the registration of a case under FIR No. 76/2025, invoking section 303(2) and 223 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita at Police Station Khrew. The police emphasized their ongoing commitment to combat illegal mining activities and to protect the natural resources within the district, indicating a proactive approach to environmental and legal enforcement. Further investigations into the matter have been initiated.
