DC rmphasizes timely completion of developmental Works
Ramban| : Deputy Commissioner Ramban, Mohammad Alyas Khan Tuesday chaired a comprehensive review meeting to assess the progress of the District Capex Budget 2025–26, with a primary focus on the completion of developmental works sanctioned across all sectors.
The meeting was attended by Chief Planning Officer, Dr. Shakeeb Ahmed Rather, Assistant Commissioner Development, Mohammad Ashfaq and officers from line departments and executing agencies including engineers from REW, PWD, PMGSY and other concerned sectors.
During the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner reviewed the status of the Holistic Agriculture Development Programme (HADP), Financial Inclusion initiatives, State Disaster Response Fund (SDRF) Plan and the District Road Safety Plan along with discussions on new project proposals and requirements for ongoing works.
He directed the Executive Engineer REW to complete the allotment process for all approved works within the prescribed timeline so that execution could begin without delay. He further instructed all executing agencies to expedite the tendering process after securing Administrative Approval (AAA) for all sanctioned projects. He further emphasized the importance of adhering to financial and physical progress targets.
The Block Development Officers (BDOs) were specifically directed to complete all SOS works—both physically and financially—by the end of this month, as the requisite funds have already been released. He also reviewed the implementation of directions regarding SANJY.
The Deputy Commissioner said that timely execution of projects is essential to achieve the developmental goals and ensure that the benefits of government schemes reach the grassroots level. He directed all departments to work in close coordination, maintain transparency and adhere strictly to deadlines to ensure optimal utilization of resources for the overall development of Ramban district.
